Faith or Reality?

When you work in the realms of the so called weird and wacky, it often occurs to you that things really aren't what they seem. How far do you allow your intuition to guide you, what is the difference between intuition and imagination or is there one?
The more you allow yourself to understand that this reality that we perceive, may not be all we think it is, the more you wonder; what is it then?

There is now a mass of information out there on the Internet and in some fabulous new books, which are informing us that maybe we are living a life that is the way it is, because of our belief structure, both individually and on mass, be it culturally, religious or socially. Once we start to change some of these beliefs, our perception of our own reality changes too. Some folk think that they don't have any beliefs, but that is a belief too! We cannot live without them as we need structure in our lives, but we sure could do without some of the beliefs we hold, but which ones?
That is up to us to find out, and that is what life is really all about, a growth process by learning about ourselves and then (as if by chance, ha ha) we learn about all that is around us too, which is not just what we see, but also what we feel and then what we understand.

So learning is not just about taking what some one tells you as a truth but experiencing it for yourself and then making a decision.
So what is a truth? Well it starts with a thought and the more you think a thought the more it becomes a habit (and eventually a reality) and the more others believe this same thought the more it becomes a belief. The difficulty is; was the thought OK in the first place? It may have been at that moment and for them. This is where the ethics of right or wrong come in. Something can soon become a belief which was a thought by someone that was technically not right or certainly not what you would have even considered OK originally. (Actually there is no right or wrong, but thats a even bigger issue and not for now!)

So its about trust... and that's another dilemma. So is a truth a belief you can trust and how do you know you can trust it?
So this is where you go back to the experience of something, how does this make you feel? It is only when we start to trust ourselves to ask new questions and allow new answers to evolve that we can truly trust what we believe. What is happening now is when you start this process, because there is an awful lot of other folks doing the same, as if by magic (ha ha) a confirmation arrives from else where in the form which may surprise you, or not!

What all this got do do with horses you may ask? Well as horses see straight through us, sadly warts and all, they are very good at pointing us in the right direction when it comes to change, particularly making our lives and consequently their lives better. They really are here to help us, even when they are doing completely the opposite of what we want. So ask yourself when you are in one of those moments...

Is this a good idea?
Is this a good time to do this idea?
How does it affect them or me, i.e is there pain involved?
How do I feel and also what do they look like they are feeling?
Could this be done differently? ( This is meant to be fun!)
Shall I stop?

We have a belief (which I am afraid is just someones thought somewhere at some time) that we should never give in as then we will have lost. I would guess there are a lot of folk out there that wish they didn't have that belief!!

This is all about our own journey or lessons in life, stand up and be an individual and trust in yourself, you can only learn your own lessons not anyone elses, they are just doing what they are doing too.
