Shift in Consciousness

We cant help but notice that things have been changing somewhat; particularly in the past 9months, constant talk of credit crunch, job losses, banks crashing and large scale fraud. The media is a having a field day bombarding us with this information and for some it's creating fear and panic. Is there something behind this that we maybe should be taking notice of...

The way I see it, it's about increasing our awareness that the way we have been leading our lives particularly in the last 15 - 20 years is way out of balance. We humans seem to have forgotten that we too are all part of nature and we are not solely on this earth to abuse and take for granted the gift of life that we have been given. Green issues are never far from our attention either!

So, whats this all got to do with our horses? Perhaps we should be starting to ask ourselves why do we have horses in our lives, what do we expect from them, how are they affected by us and how much fun is it for both them and us? Dare we even think that it may be something to do with our Egos and that our horses play a big part in boosting them? We all hate the idea of animal cruelty and try our best to look after our 'pets' to a high standard. So much time (and money) is spent on their welfare, feeds, rugs, bedding, turnout etc, but are we spending enough time with them, our horses? When we do, how much attention do we give 'them' or is it more about stable duties, rugs, grooming, riding, competitions etc.

Do we really know who they are or even what they are?

What they are is, an incredible spiritual creature with immense sensitivity who can see through us and all of our weaknesses and strengths. They remain loyal to us, reflecting back, they are our mirror, like it or not, for good and everything else they show us!! The Horse sees through us 'the physical person' and reacts to our emotional being and projects back to us through his reactions what he feels from us. So the next time your horse acts through fear, or with anger, 'stubbornness' or what we perceive as 'naughtiness' it is, like or not, a reflection of us!

There is an ever increasing body of people who are beginning to understand that there is a shift in consciousness starting to happen and this will affect us all. Horses are playing an important role for us to recognise and increase our awareness of who we really are.
